INTRO

Artificial Intelligence is on the rise in all fields of the market and the increase in this technology is being seen in 40-50 percent of all marketers work. In its current state, AI is expected to develop into a bigger and more effective tool for media and marketing professionals, allegedly allowing them to work efficiently and creatively, while also exploring new realms to optimize their work. Through predictive analytics AI will provide deeper insights, enabling marketing professionals to more accurately target their audience and make profits based on the data. The technology will continue to grow and evolve to new territories that we must explore deeper to what is to fear for our future.

Throughout my journey of exploring this topic and how it is being integrated into the marketplace I found many shocking statistics. Dell, a well respected in the tech industry, is starting to weed out employees and replace them with AI. There was no remorse to the loyal employees to the company, managers and other higher-ups who have gone day in and day out to work for the company were let go in just a snap of the fingers. With over 10,000 people laid off by the company this total amounts to about 10% of the workforce and it has been said that about every 6 months or so more and more keep getting released. AI has had a huge impact on these individuals in negative ways and this is just the beginning. But what are the motives for the managers to feel that they are in a spot where this would be ok to do?

According to an article on The 360 Blog, Ismael Brown, A content and awareness manager for the communications and media industries at Salesforce wrote that all media and marketing based companies will increase their investments 90% on AI research and tools. These companies feel the technology and its data driven strategies and having to do more for less is going to be a path for profitability for their company. Across all industries the technology is already being consumed and extensively used and it “marks the beginning of a new era of creativity and innovation.” AI is being invested in for its abilities to optimize business strategies, assist in generating marketing plans, study consumer analytics and much more. Are there any drawbacks?

Through a series of interviews I was able to find out more on how AI is already being currently used in the marketplace in the field of marketing. For financial area lock those in stock trading and investment, AI is being used to create data and critical analytics for clientele such as the predictability of how their investments will do. Through the power of AI and its predictive qualities these graphs and analytics are able to be created. For a company like “ALKU” that specializes in the marketing and staffing industry, AI use is becoming a major part of their everyday work. From insight from Interviewee Brendan McCabe, A Pharmaceutical Assistant for the Company, the company uses the technology for brainstorming ideas and to get a starting point for their professional work. The company has even invested in the technology to where they have weekly meetings with an AI Specialist that gives them new ideas and criteria on how to use the technology to optimize their work with clients. Im looking to find out more from different companies on how AI is being invested in with their companies.

The use of AI is being found in more and more different industries each and everyday. There are different things that we must fear going forward as we enter the forefront of the most advanced digital era of all time. This technology continues to grow and evolve by innovations from companies everyday from different companies specialized in this field such as Pinnacle AI. This company is working day in and day out testing new ideas to optimize this technology so it can reshape thousands of industries hopefully for the better. This technology is slowly starting to take jobs away and strip people out of their workplace and having to find new jobs. As this current generation comes out of college and enter the job hunt, we must be aware of what's to come.
